The Brooklyn-based troubadours have attracted a very mixed crowd and as the band enter, lead singer shouts,’ Thank you for coming down to see us. Such a beautiful day it turned out to be. Thanks for spending it in this cave with us.’
They play funky songs. The girl on the bass, angel Deradoorian, has a crazy Bjork-esque voice – one that skates over the edges of a song, lifting it ever further.  The songs are like Fleetwood Mac  with a bassline and experimentation instead of the melodies. The band are very adventurous with differing structures, layers and harmonies but it is hard to identify songs. But then – isn’t that what experimental rock is about?
